Most body lotions are mostly water — they evaporate off your skin within minutes and leave you reaching for the bottle again by afternoon. Tallow is different. It's made of the same fatty acids your skin produces naturally, which means it absorbs deeply, works with your barrier instead of sitting on top of it, and actually lasts.
A little goes a long way.
What's inside:
- Grass-fed beef tallow — bioidentical to your skin's own oils, rich in vitamins A, D, E & K
- Organic cold-pressed castor oil — anti-inflammatory, deeply nourishing
- Organic cold-pressed sunflower oil — lightweight, softening
- Organic beeswax — protective and moisturizing
- Organic arrowroot powder — deodorizing, velvety finish, no grease

Choose your scent:
Mountain Spa — lavender, tea tree, and lemon. Uplifting and relaxing with gentle anti-microbial action. Great for acne-prone skin.
Mountain Zen — peppermint, sweet orange, lavender, basil, sage, and eucalyptus. Invigorating and soothing — a real treat for sore muscles and tired moods.
Mountain Fleur — sweet orange, lemon, ylang ylang, geranium, and elemi. A heart-centered orange floral that's joyful, calming, and deeply feminine.
Mountain Musk — bergamot, juniper, and black pepper. Fresh, grounded, and subtly evocative. Masculine-leaning with a lingering signature.
No Bull — Unscented. Safe for babies, pets, and very sensitive skin.
Good to know: Packaged in 4oz glass jars and shipped carefully wrapped for temperature protection. If your balm arrives melted due to heat or weather, simply place upright in the fridge or freezer to reset quickly, or just right on the counter to come to room temp— this won't affect the product at all.

Let me save you time. I have gone through 12 different beef tallow brands. This is by far the best one. Finally found a great product that was made perfectly! Highly recommend!
When I tested the product at the market, it was smooth and absorbed easily. When I brought it home to use, it was grainy and took more effort to absorb into my body. I have only been using the product week, so I’m uncertain of its benefits.

A couple things that likely explain the difference in texture: tallow is a natural, minimally processed product, and its texture can shift unpredictably depending on temperature and storage — this is something I talk about often at the market, cover in a blog post, and include a handout about right in the bag with every order, because it's such a common question. It's not a flaw, just how a real fat behaves.
It's also worth noting that market temperatures run hot, so the balms are softer and more melted when you try them there. I actually sell my jars frozen and include instructions to let them come to room temperature naturally before use — if a jar gets used before it's fully come back to room temp, or goes through a few temperature swings after that, the fats can re-crystallize into a grainier texture. Either way, the graininess doesn't affect the quality or benefits of the balm at all, just the feel.
I'll also say — as a small, one-woman business, reviews like this really do carry a lot of weight, and I'd always rather have the chance to make it right directly with you than have you leave unhappy. If you'd like, just reach out and I'll send a replacement jar, no questions asked.

Absolutely love the mountain fleur lotion. It smells amazing 👏
I have some random eczema spots on my legs and stomach. I ran into Magnolia Crow Soap Co at the highlands ranch farmers market and learned a little about tallow. I got a sample of the body balm to try and immediately I noticed it lightening up. Next market I bought a jar and now my spots are all cleared up. The tallow is not thick and oily like I expected it to be. My skin absolutely loves it and now that summer is here, I don’t have to be embarrassed about my eczema spots!
